Dee and Bill were both born in Thailand. Bill is from Bangkok and Dee is from Supanburi. Dee used to work as an auditor for the Thailand government and Bill moved to the states when he was 20 years old to attend architecture school in San Francisco.

They met in San Francisco after Dee finished studying English in Texas. While Bill was in school, he moved his way up from a dishwasher to food server, to bartender in several international restaurants, while Dee worked in the business as a cocktail waitress.
